Product Description

Never buy expensive tortillas again with the TM Essentials Tortilla Press. There is nothing quite like fresh homemade tortilla’s and they are super easy to make.

Simply line the press with baking paper, place a golf ball sized piece of dough in the centre, close the lid and apply pressure with the lever to make perfectly round and thin tortillas ready for pan frying.

The traditional method for making corn tortillas (tlaxcalli is the Indian word and tortilla is the Spanish word) was to flatten balls of fresh dough between your hands. A skilled tortilla maker can pat the dough back and forth and create a perfectly round, thin, corn cake (tortilla). Another method was to flatten the dough on a banana leaf, turning the leaf with one hand and patting with the other to form a nice round tortilla. The “modern” way to make tortillas is with a press.

Average I am finding this easy to use but I am still working out the best dough and amount to make wraps I wish it had come with a recipe and instructions

Very happy with this press. For larger wraps and naan bread i just fish the dough with a rolling pin. But if you use the right amount of dough and let it rest before pressing i cant fault this press.
