Steamed-Barramundi

This fish in this dish can be replaced with any other type of fish such as fresh salmon, cod or snapper. I’ve even used substituted the fish with green prawns.

600g cubed fish
60g Shaoxing wine
30g light soy sauce
10g sesame oil
20g fresh ginger, julienned
4 spring onions, finely sliced
1 chilli, finely sliced (optional)

Add 1000g of water to the TM Bowl.
Place TM Essentials Stainless Steel Steaming Dish in top Varoma section.
Place fish in Stainless Steel Dish.
Add Shaoxing wine, soy sauce and sesame oil.
Top with ginger, spring onions and chilli.
Place Varoma lid in place.
Steam for 15-20 minutes, Varoma temp, Speed 2 or until the fish is cooked.
Serves 4.

    Absolutely delicious. Have never really steamed fish before but looking at a healthier way of cooking. Found this a very quick and easy way to cook fish. Added 2 tspns of turmeric to sauce and steamed some green asian veges towards the end.
