What to Do If You Accidentally Poured Liquid into Your Thermomix® Appliance

What to Do If You Accidentally Poured Liquid into Your Thermomix® Appliance

If you’ve bought a Thermomix® Appliance, you already know it’s an investment that you want to protect and care for.

There are many reasons why its value is so high, and durability is one of the main reasons.

There’s a very high chance of making a few mistakes while using it, especially in the beginning. When this happens, don’t worry, as you can fix most of them yourself.

One of the most common accidents that can happen is pouring liquid into the Mixing Bowl when it’s not connected to the base.

This can be quite risky, as liquid can get into the main body itself and potentially damage it.

So what should you do if you accidentally pour water or liquid into your Thermomix® Appliance?

The best advice is for you to turn off your Thermomix® Appliance immediately and contact customer service.

If you have the Thermomix® TM31® Appliance, you should tip it on its back. This way, any fluid will stay away from the electrical components, and leave it to dry. After a couple of hours, try turning the machine back on and the problem should go away.If it doesn’t, seek help from customer service.

However, never place the Thermomix® TM5® or TM6® Appliance on its back. That’s where the power supply board is located, so this can make the problem worse.

Turn off your Thermomix® Appliance, leaving it in an upright position, and wait for at least 48 hours until all the liquid has dried.

To avoid this issue altogether, make sure to explain how the Mixing Bowl is assembled to everyone that will be using the Thermomix® Appliance.

My preference is to ask the other members of my family  toplace the Mixing Bowl into the base of the Thermomix® Appliance ONLY after it’s fully assembled. I find this is the easiest way to ensure no liquid is accidentally poured into my Thermomix® Appliance.
