5 Ways to Organise Your Kitchen

I’ve always admired people who can organise their kitchen. There is nothing quite appealing as an uber-organised pantry and kitchen. Organising your kitchen when cooking with your Thermomix® Appliance will help you maximise your time and ensure that everything is easily accessible while you're cooking.

However, for some people, keeping their kitchens clutter-free can be a struggle. If you struggling to keep your kitchen clutter-free, here are some tips you can try.

  1. Plan aweek's menu using up all the odd bits in your pantry and freezer. Clears the pantry, saves money and will help you create amazing meals in the process.
  2. If you do not have a large pantry in your kitchen, a cart can hold all your pantry essentials in a very organised (and mobile) way. If you have a small pantry, move the items you reach for most often onto a cart. This allows you easy access and frees up more storage space in your pantry.
  3. Invest inclear storage containers to make sure you get to see your available spices, herbs and ingredients right away.
  4. Embrace baskets or transparent storage boxes. Neatly labelled baskets are a major component of expert organisation. Apart from your pantry staples, they’re ideal for storing accessories that you use with your Thermomix® Appliance.
  5. Even though you can see everything with all your clear storage containers, it's still helpful to label them. You can DIY by using washi tape or a label maker. Also, there are heaps of ready-made labels you can check out online. Try our TM Essentials set ofSpice labels andPantry Labels to make labelling your pantry easy and convenient.

Here’s a bonus tip:

  1. Try having an“Eat Me First” box, where you can fill it with food items that are about to spoil to remind you to use them quickly.Using theFIFO (First in, First out) method will help prevent you from wasting food and money.

With these simple tips, you can make sure that your kitchen looks amazing all the time. Aside from that, you can also save money and avoid throwing away ingredients

If using clear containers for herbs & spices, be sure they’re stored inside the pantry, not outside. They need to be airtight and away from light not to degrade faster.
