Corned Beef is one of those favourite family favourites that brings up nostalgic memories of childhood family dinners. And not only is Corned Beef a budget friendly dinner, nothing beats cold Corned Beef on sandwiches or with a salad for a quick and easy dinner.
Plus cooking Corned Beef by steam results in a more flavoursome meal rather than boiling meat. It just makes sense when you think about it. And by steaming your Corned Beef, you can be guaranteed it will be moist and tender. It’s a win-win on all fronts.
When you want to steam Corned Beef but it’s too large to fit in your Simmering Basket or Varoma® Appliance, use one of ourV Stackers to easily fit and cook up to 3kgs of corned beef. Towards the end of steaming your corned beef, add some vegies for dinner and finish off with a White Sauce with your Thermomix® Appliance.
The directions below are perfect for a 3kg piece of corned beef. If your corned beef is smaller than this, modify your steaming times to allow for 30 minutes steaming time per 500g.
Directions:
Corned Beef will keep for 3 to 4 days once cooked or can be frozen for 2 to 3 months.
