Pork with Black Beans, Steamed Rice and Broccolini

Say goodbye to takeout and hello to a delicious homemade Chinese dish with our Pork with Black Beans recipe made with your Thermomix® Appliance and our Silicone Steaming Mat.

You won't believe how easy it is to make this flavourful and hearty dish in just your Thermomix® Appliance - that meams less cleaning up! While the pork is cooking, you can steam the rice and broccolini for a complete meal.

You can find salted black beans at your local Asian supermarket. Give it a try and impress your family with this delicious meal!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 15g fresh ginger
  • 50g salted black beans
  • 40g oyster sauce
  • 60g light soy sauce
  • 500g pork belly or pork loin thinly sliced
  • 4 spring onions, finely sliced
  • 1000g water
  • 350g rice
  • 1 bunch broccolini

Directions:

  • Place the ginger and garlic in the Mixing Bowl and chop for 3 sec/Speed 8.
  • Add the salted black beans and chop 1 sec/Turbo speed.
  • Scrape down the sides.
  • Add the oyster sauce and soy sauce. Mix for 5 sec/Speed 2.
  • Place TM Essentials Steaming Mat on Varoma® Appliance middle tray.
  • Place the pork on the Steaming Mat in the Varoma® Appliance.
  • Add the black bean sauce mix and mix well.
  • Top with the spring onions, reserving some for serving.
  • Without rinsing, add 1000g water to the Mixing Bowl.
  • Pour rice in Simmering Basket and place in Mixing Bowl.
  • Place lid and Varoma® Appliance in place.
  • Steam for 20 min/120°C/Speed 2.
  • Place the broccolini in the base of the Varoma® Appliance. 
  • Steam for 4 min/120°C/Speed 2.
  • Garnish with reserved spring onions.
  • Serves 4.
