        Okonomiyaki Japanese Pancakes

        Okonomiyaki Japanese Pancakes

        I simply love Okonomyaki ever since I was introduced to it by a Japanese friend of mine. The savoury pancake topped with Okonomi Sauce and Bonito Flakes is not only delicious but looks amazing when the Bonito Flakes 'dance' when served.

        Ingredients:

        • 280g self-raising flour
        • 350g milk
        • 1 carrot, quartered
        • 2 eggs
        • 80g cheese, cubed
        • 250g cabbage roughly chopped
        • 120g green prawns
        • 240g fish fillets

        To serve:

        • Okonomi sauce
        • Kewpie Mayonnaise
        • Dried bonito flakes

        Directions:

        1. Chop the carrot at 4 sec/Speed 4.
        2. Place all remaining ingredients in the Mixing Bowl and mix for 15 sec/Speed 6.
        3. Heat oil in a frying pan and cook pancakes.
        4. To serve, drizzle with Okonomi sauce, Kewpie Mayonnaise and sprinkle with bonito flakes.
