Chicken Stock Powder

Nothing beats homemade meals. Preparing your own meals gives you peace of mind that the food that your family eats is delicious and most importantly nutritious.

And because of that, I would like to share with you my own version ofChicken Stock Powder that you can do at home with almost all ingredients readily available in your pantry.

With the help of your Thermomix® Appliance, you can make this simple stock powder recipe and ensure that you and your family only eats 100% preservative-free meals.

Ingredients:

  • 400g chicken thighs, no bones
  • 100g salt
  • 150g onion
  • 60g garlic, peeled
  • 100g carrot
  • 50g parsley
  • 2 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in Mixing Bowl and chop for 10 sec/Speed 7.
  2. Scrape down sides of the Mixing Bowl and chop for a further 10 sec/Speed 7.
  3. Cook for 30 min/100°C/Speed 2/MC OFF.
  4. Spread mixture evenly on an oven tray and bake for 40-45 minutes at 150°C until all moisture has been removed.
  5. Return mixture to Mixing Bowl and chop for 30 sec/Speed 10.
  6. Store in a sterilised airtight jar. No need to refrigerate.

*Makes 450g stock powder.

*Keeps for 6 months

*Use 1 tsp stock powder per cup of water.
