5 Ingredient Steamed Orange Puddings

These little steamed orange puddings take only 30 seconds and 5 ingredients to whip up in your Thermomix® Appliance and are made even more delicious with our orange sauce.

A splash of Cointreau makes them the perfect treat for the grownups or leave it out for the kids. It's time to get steaming with our Silicone Muffin Mold. 

Orange Sauce

Zest of 1 orange
120g sugar
250g orange juice (approx 3 oranges)
50g butter
50g Cointreau (optional)

Orange Puddings

1 whole orange, rinsed and dried, cut into quarters
180g butter
2 eggs
120g sugar
250g self-raising flour

Directions:

Orange Sauce

  • Place zest of orange and sugar in Mixing Bowl and mill for 30 sec/Speed 9.
  • Add orange juice and cook for 15 min/100ºC/Speed 2.
  • Add butter and Cointreau. Mix for 30 sec/Speed 2.
  • Set aside in a TM Essentials Insulated Serving Jug to keep warm.

Steamed Orange Puddings

  • Lightly grease Silicone Muffin Mold.
  • Without cleaning the Mixing Bowl, place orange and butter in the bowl. Chop for 10 sec/Speed 7. 
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix for 15 sec/Reverse Speed 4.
  • Pour pudding mixture into Muffin Molds and set the Muffin Molds in the base of the Varoma® Appliance. 
  • Without rinsing the Mixing Bowl, add 1 litre of water.
  • Position Varoma® Appliance in place. 
  • Steam puddings for 30 min/100°C/Speed 2
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes when finished steaming
  • To serve, run a knife around the edge of Muffin Molds and invert onto a serving dish
  • Top with orange sauce and serve with ice cream
