5 Ingredient Rocky Road

Rocky road is a classic dessert that everyone loves, and with the help of your Thermomix® Appliance, it's easier than ever to make. Our recipe takes this sweet treat to the next level with the addition of Turkish Delight.

The name rocky road comes from its imperfect and bumpy texture, which is achieved by combining just five ingredients that each provide a unique textural element. The soft and pillowy marshmallows, waxy coconut, and crunchy almonds are all set in velvety milk chocolate, creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures.

But what really sets our recipe apart is the addition of Turkish delight. This sweet treat takes the place of the original dried cherries and adds a mysterious and delightful floral taste of rosewater, which elevates the dessert to a new level of sophistication.

Ingredients:

  • 5 x 55 g bars Fry's Turkish Delight
  • 250g pink and white marshmallows 
  • 500g milk chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 100g desiccated coconut
  • 120g slivered almonds

Directions:

  1. Line a 20 x 30cm slice tin with baking liner or cling wrap.
  2. Place the the Turkish Delight and marshmallows in the Mixing Bowl and chop for 20 sec/Speed 10. Set aside.
  3. Without cleaning the Mixing Bowl, add the chocolate and chop for 15 sec/Speed 8.
  4. Melt the chocolate for 2 min/90°C/ Speed 2.
  5. Add the coconut and almonds to the Mixing Bowl. Mix for 5 sec/Reverse Speed 4. 
  6. Add the reserved Turkish Delight and marshmallow and mix for further 10 sec/Reverse Speed 4.
  7. Spoon into the slice tin and set aside to set. 
  8. Cut into 20-24 pieces.

*Keeps 3-4 days.
