5 Ingredient Butter Cookies

Our 5 Ingredient Cookie Dough is perfect for use with any Cookie Plunger. They keep their shape while cooking and have a delicious buttery texture. This recipe makes 50-60 biscuits using your machine – if that’s too many, this dough is perfect to freeze.

Ingredients:

200g Sugar
180g Butter
2 large eggs
400g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:

  1. Mill the sugar for 3 sec/Speed 9.
  2. Add the butter and mix for 10 sec/Speed 4.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix for 15 sec/Speed 4.
  4. Knead the dough for 1 min/Dough function.
  5. Place the dough onto cling wrap and shape into a long roll. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  7. Line a baking tray with a TM Essentials Non-Stick Silicone Mat or baking paper.
  8. Using ¼ of the dough at a time, place onto a floured TM Essentials Silicone Mat. Dust the dough lightly with more flour. Roll to 5mm thick with a flour dusted rolling pin.
  9. Dip a Cookie Plunger in flour before cutting each biscuit shape.
  10. To use the Cookie Plunger – press the cutter into the dough, press the plunger to press the cutter shapes, left the plunger – the dough should be in the plunger; press the plunger handle to remove the dough.
  11. Place the cookies on the baking tray leaving 1 cm between the cookies.
  12. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
